Tips for Field Survey

All Hong Kong wildlife are protected by the Wild Animals Protection Ordinace (Cap. 170), Forests and Countryside Ordinance (Cap. 96), Protection of Endangered Species of Animals and Plants Ordinance (Cap. 586), Fisheries Protection Ordinace (Cap. 171), Country Parks Ordinance (Cap. 208) and Marine Parks Ordinance (Cap. 476). No person shall, except in accordance with a special permit, trap or hunt any wild animal. For details of the ordinances please refer to the Bilingual Laws Information System.
